About R&R Clock Repair
Richard and Robert have known each other for many years, working together regularly as professional musicians. (Robert plays the flute and Richard the French horn).
After a concert one evening they discovered their shared interest in clock and watch repair. Since collaborating on several repair projects, they decided to join forces and set up R&R Clock Repair
At R&R we enjoy the process of bringing clocks and watches back to life - they all have a unique connection with their owners, and many have a special history or story to tell.
Richard and Robert combine their skills, knowledge and experience to offer an excellent and reliable service, with great attention to detail. We pride ourselves on our friendly approach, and endeavour to keep our customers updated throughout the repair or renovation process. No job is considered too small, and we strive to be transparent, efficient, and obliging.

Robert has repaired and restored clocks and watches for over 30 years. During this time, he has worked on a vast array of timepieces of all shapes and sizes, from wrist watches to longcase clocks. He has recently completed work on a 19th century Marine chronometer by Dent, and the restoration of the village hall clock in Padbury (near Buckingham) where he lives and has his workshop. Robert particularly enjoys the challenge of having to make replacement parts that are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.

Richard
Richard studied clock repair with renowned antique clock restorer David Rawlins. He has since worked on an extensive range of repair projects, on a wide variety of timepieces from pocket watches and cuckoo clocks to English dial clocks and 400-day anniversary clocks.
Recent work has included restoring a 1760 longcase clock by Samuel Brown of Edinburgh, which has remained in the family since it was first bought as a brand new clock!
Richard has a workshop at his home in St Albans.
